Zwave adapter and thermostat does not communicate
Re: Zwave adapter and thermostat does not communicate
No.. I only have the USB adapter and Thermostat. I have even reset the controller, and reassociated the thermostat.. I am wondering if the firmware has anything to do with it.

or this

only do this if you have the same stick as it is mentioned.
let me know how you get on.

Still no luck. I did that update earlier. I guess I am going to have to just buy the think essential program. That is what I get for trying to get the latest and greatest device, hoping it would be supported, and trying to be cheap. LOL.

Hi,
one of those two links has firmware updates that should allow you to get a new version of the firmware.
Where did you buy the tstat and stick from? I would suggest giving them a call.
you could also ask this guy:
http://www.smarthome-products.com/
Tell him Raptor sent you. His name is Jay. I buy all my stuff from him now and he is a great resource.

Re: Zwave adapter and thermostat does not communicate
Update:
I have purchased the Controlthink zwave adaptor’s think essential program. I am able to see all the configuration and change the thermostat like i want to with the thinkessentials program. But when I input the adapter into Housebot I get no communication with the thermostat. Am I doing something wrong.
I created a zwave usd wd interface.
Is shows the same house Id I had from the ThinkEssentials Program (that worked)
I then have the interface create the thermostat device. Which it does.
I change the node id to “2” since the thermostat is the second device.
And still no communication.
Is there something I am not configuring right?
Is there any one that has successful implimented the ControlThink zwave adapter with HouseBot?

Re: Zwave adapter and thermostat does not communicate
hi under the hardware interface section there is a "created devices from hardware" or something.
Click on that and it should generate the devices in Housebot for you.
Once there you can get the info from the tstat.
if you get stuck let me know and i will send screen shots.

Re: Zwave adapter and thermostat does not communicate
Finally Success. I had to downgrade the firmware for the ControlThink zwave adapter to 4.27. I am going to post the total instruction tonight, to help others.
Thanks all for all the help.
