IR codes

i have no problem in learning the codes from all my remotes but when i go to use the code (ie a code for the number one) this works fine but when i press the same button again nothing happens and i cant use thaqt key until i press something else then i can use this key again but onle once.

can any one help me

Sounds like an "Allow Same Value" Problem. Did you enable this option?

i suggest that you first check if you actually send the code out.
If you look through a digital camera you should be able to see the IR flashing.

If the code is send out, than you are in trouble.
Some remotes send different codes in each press.
In such cases, the device is programmed to ignore repeated codes.
If this is your case, you can't do much.

Sending two different (alternating) codes happens with remotes from Hauppauge and probably others as well. This can be tested by learning the code twice and check for differences in the code view. If both codes appear the same, that is not the problem.

I had the same problem here with a Proline tv,
All of the numeric keys where alternating in the remote so the remote would never send out the same IR twice.

In the end I had to learn all the numeric keys twice and had to have my scripts alternate them as well.....

U have solved this by learning all the relevent codes twice and then using a multi state button to switch between them many thanks to all who helped me solve thi problem biggrey54
