HouseBot

Hi,

I set up a Email Sender device but get this in the device log:
"4/9/2009","10:36:26 pm","Email Sender art","Debug","Connecting to send SMTP message"
"4/9/2009","10:36:26 pm","Email Sender art","Warning","Unable to connect to the SMTP server. Message not sent. Error =[Unable to connect to server]"
"4/9/2009","10:36:26 pm","Email Sender art","Debug","Unable to send SMTP message. Waiting one minute and retrying."

Is this an authentication problem or?

My ISP is Cox Communications and the SMTP server is smtp.west.cox.net

It's not an authentication issue. That message comes before the login and is just saying that it can't create a connection to the server. Double check the server name and port. I suppose it could also be a firewall issue. Try connecting to the mail server account on the HouseBot machine with windows mail and see if it works.

Thanks Scott. As usual it was a dumb mistake...I spelled smtp wrong!
