Is it possible to use HB to control a relay on a secu16 unit connected to Ocelot? Is there a better way to control relays?

I want to do HA without using X10, and thought that by controlling the relays it would be possible to control lights and shades. I don't have a full solution yet. I'll be happy to get advice on dimming lights (I thought of a din rail dimmer) and on controlling the shades.

Thanks,

Yoram.

Yoram,

Yes you can. To do this:
  • 1) Create an Ocelot Hardware Interface.
    2) Create a 'Relay' Device and select the Ocelot Interface.
    3) Set the Module # and Relay # to control.
    4) Change the value of 'State' to control the relay.
You can also use the 'Input' device to sense the state of the SECU16 supervised input channels.
