Plug In Development
I'm interested in beginning to develop a plug in for various devices, and curios what resources you used, Scott, to accomplish this. This would mainly be for software apps on the computer (like your winamp driver)...and recommendations?

I'll try it and give it a shot. I'm attempting to control the media on another computer (read: inside the same network) instead of using a replicated device......thats just ONE MORE program running. I'd like to (in theory) via command line, access the other computer and cause a media file to load, a...

Scroll Bars in Panel Window
Maybe Scroll Bars for backgrounds and layouts that excede the screen size? :)
Thanks!
Thanks!

Yes, I didn't mention that...I was referring to the size of the up and down arrows. I haven't checked out myHTPC, I was busy digging through Housebot. I have tinkered with various front ends for Car-puters (Media Car, among others, see MP3car.com ) which are interfaces for media control. My main rea...

Movie players and Directory Listings
As I have said in other posts, I am using a networked PC as a video server of sorts, and I control it via my software remote from another room. Thus far, I am using WinAmp so I can control the movies (well, play, stop, pause, volume, and fullscreen). However, this isn't rock solid....I'd like to see...

I dont suppose you know of a way to convert the XML file to one that Housebot can import? Or a way to convert to UDB files to the hex values? Remotecentral has some apps, and after Dl them and using them, they are a bit over my head. Any other suggestions? Ive also downloaded dozens of CCF files, bu...

Search Remotecentral, there is an extensive thread still ongoing (gave you a plug!) re: the codes for my unit. Also, which is faster....setting up a task to send all of the toggle commands or just assigning those 3 codes to a property change? I downloaded a ton of CCF files, and it's damn near impos...

Various ways of implementing Macros and Winamp update
Scott- Turns out that not all of my devices have discrete input codes (grumble... Philips 32" 2002 tv) and so, in order to get to the input I ahve to do a combination of button pushes (a combination of an A/V toggle pulse and a Channel Up).....instead of assigning the seperate IR codes to one p...

Did some searching on the winamp2 forum, and there are several plugins to control winamp2 via command line. I suppose I can incorporate these commands into a task. Also, if you use the VidAmp plugin, there is an option to play fullscreen on startup of a video, so all you would have to do is launch t...
