Re: Unrecognized Insteon Message Received [2]
Sorry for the delay in my response. I had not worked with Tracing before. Here is a small section from thetrace file which shows a "bad" X10 command. Of course in my house all X10 commands are bad because I am not using any X10 components. :-) "4/18/2009","12:10:26 pm",...

Unrecognized Insteon Message Received [2]
I am getting a lot of error messages in the error log. A lot of these are "Invalid Insteon Message received Messages must start with '2' " I also see errors such as X10 recieved HC [J] for command portion of X10, but it doesn't match last recieved HC[C} Housebot does not always see when my...

Insteon Hardware Device Problem
I moved my Housebot system yesterday to the basement so I could also use the same PC for my new cyber-rain sprinkler system. After I moved it nothing seemed to work. I would click on an Insteon device and ask for new status and it would eventually time out. Nothing was being controlled. So I assumed...

Issue with new POP3 Device
I upgraded to 3.2 Housebot and added and configured a POP3 device. Unfortunately I am not able to get it to work with Gmail (Google Mail). I was able to change the port to 995 but they also mention a requirement of SSL, which I do not believe is available with the current POP3 device implementation....

Question on Sunset/Light Example
I implemented the sunset light example you created a tutorial for. It works fine. I did notice one odd thing when I looked at the log today. The controller sent an "off" command to the light every second during the minute it was suppose to turn off. Interestingly other switches I control w...

Re: Insteon Issue with ToggleLinc
Making sure I linked the system both ways was the solution to the problem. Thanks!

Re: Insteon Status Update
Could you modify your task so rather than sending an ON command to the device via PLM and SwitchLinc, you let the SwitchLinc turn it on? The HouseBot task could detect the SwitchLinc keypress, wait a second, then check status. If the status is on, then do nothing, else if it is off, you could turn t...

Insteon Issue with ToggleLinc
I'm bringing up my HA environment this weekend and have had some success and one thing I have not been able to resolve. I'm using a 2412S PLM Insteon connector and a ToggleLinc V2 Relay (2466) to control a bathroom light. I also have a pair of Access Points installed (2443). I connected the access p...

Control Housebot via email
I am currently evaluating the Housebot software and the software is extremely robust and capable. One feature which I saw in a competitor which I liked was the ability to trigger automation tasks by the use of inbound email. I see there is an SMTP send device, it would be great to have an POP/IMAP l...
