Access SWRemote over the internet...

I seem to be having some difficulty in accessing my SWRemote from outside of my lan. I have opened the ports necessary to gain access to my HB server from outside of my lan. I have searched the forums, but i am not finding what i need. Thanks.

It finally dawned on me that the mcecommands are just sendkeys. So i now see why there is no way to send a playlist. I abandoned this and went with the iTunes script along with my own script which parses an iTunes xml playlist. This allows me to at least see the songs that are in the playlist that i...

Got the MCEState app running and so far it is great. I was toying with the itunes script and in there, you can pass a playlist to the script. Is there some way that could be done with the mcecontrol's mcecommand? I need to find a way to display playlists on the software remote. If i could see the so...

I would love to give this a try.... am trying the script now but so far no luck....I would be very interested in the c# app.... * Update * I discovered that media center has to be in the foreground to receive the sendkeys. That's what i was missing before. I am using the Ostrosoft component. If ther...

It Works! While the ir flasher was flashing, it wasn't very bright. I changed to a dual head ir flasher, which seems brighter, and it worked. Just for fun, i switched back to the single flasher (one of the ones that ships with the gc-100) and got it to work also but the placement of that particular ...

GC-100 Not working

I have been extensively testing HB with a couple of powermids for the past week waiting for my gc-100 to arrive. I received the Gc-100 today and to my dismay, it's not working. I have learned quite a few ir codes (pronto) for my usbuirt device and they have been woking flawlessly. The ir emitter tha...

I try but all i get is unable to connect to device. I think that it's probably time for me to look into something else. It doesn't look like MS left anything exposed to interact with on the extender. I think what i'm going to have to do is run some a/v cable from this machine to my Onkyo and then ju...

Here, there is no streaming going on. The xbox is on and connected to media center. The first set of screenshots shows the xbox on and not connected to media center. To be clear, when the xbox is connected to media center, i normally don't see anything different on my vista machine. In other words, ...
