I disabled the Generic Serial interface, but it didn't help with the SWRemote issue.

There isn't much to send. For the test, I created a new theme and put only an 'Exit Remote' button on it. Nothing else is there. The SWRemote process is still running after quiting. AFAIK, EIB cannot be accessed from a computer. I looked into that about a year ago, and there wasn't any hardware that could be plugged into the PC.

I found matching symbols in webdings that work for me (without installing fonts on the PPC).

Its not perfect because it shows different symbols on the PC, but I can live with that.
