Problems with new Insteon switches

I bought two new insteon switches for my home and when I installed them I began having problems with the insteon PLM hardware interface. After sending a command I start receving a lot of "Unrecognized inteon character ..." errors and I keep getting them for like a minute. At the end of the minute the light accept the command.This happened with both switches I bought. They have insteon firmware 5.2. The older ones that work well have version 1.6. Anybody else having this problem? I have been fortunate of having excellent reliability of the insteon switches for the past 4 years but I am afraid that as soon as I need to start replacing some they won't work with housebot. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try increasing the "Inter-Command Delay" on the PLM Hardware config page. I think the default is 400ms but I has similar errors occasionally until I increased it to 500ms.
