Instant messenger plugin for Housebot?

Hi all!

Is there a plugin that will allow me to control certain things via Instant Messenger?

I'd like to be able to get status of devices and send X10 command to the X10 devices..

I've not heard of one, but it's a good idea and would lend itself well to a plugin.

Which service are you interested in (e.g. AIM)?

Doesn't really matter.. AIM, Yahoo or MSN.

There's a program called X10Commander that uses an X10 Active Home Pro API.. but I've switched to the Smarthome Powerlinc controller and can't use it anymore.

You could get a status, send commands to devices, view logs, etc.. it was very handy.

I've found a way to control the devices using the External Control plugin.

I just send a message to it from Trillian, using a trillian plugin. I can pass the name of the device and the power state (On or Off).

It works, but would love to have a native plugin. :)
