Clicking quickly on buttons is too slow

If you need to press a button on a Software Remote very rapidly, you may notice that the button response is much slower than your finger.

This is a limitation of how fast Windows will let you press a button. There's something in the Windows double-click detection logic that causes this delay.

If you increase your mouse double-click speed to 'fast' (in the control panel), you can click/press the button faster.

Also, if you have a sound (wav file) setup for button presses, it will effect the response time slightly.

Another option, instead of repeatedly pressing the button, is to use the button repeating feature of buttons. Using the Repeating tab of the button, you can configure a button to send commands as fast as 10 a second.
