Just learned something that I should have known all along, as I was warned about it but apparently chose to ignore. Welding, especially TIG welding, does not agree with a Windows PC and Housebot. Apparently the high frequencies emitted in the TIG process upsets a Windows PC in vacinity (next room). In my very recent experience, the welding apparently disabled all the COM ports (USB and RS232) so that HB could not talk to any of its related hardware interfaces. Solution was to shut down everything and cold boot the HB server. After restarting HB I had to re-enable ALL my serial HW interfaces. After that, all was normal. Lesson learned. When welding nearby, especially TIG welding, shut down the HB server.
FWIW.

Re: Welding and Windows and Housebot
I'm not planning on having any welding work done nearby, but that's good to know nonetheless. Thanks for sharing Steve.
