Flexible 'repeat' of IR commands

Post by yaccri »

Volume IR commands are mosty used by pressing the VOL+/- button and holding it until the required level it reached. The first VOL change takes several hundred milliseconds, and the repeated commands are much faster.

HouseBot can send repeated commands when the repeat count is known in advance. It can also send discrete IR commands repeatedly, but it would take a lot more time (because in each tranmission, the first command takes much more time).

I'd like to be able to press and hold a button until reaching the desired volume level, and at the speed of the original remote.

Please look at http://www.meedio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23249 for a detailed description and a suggested solution.

Thanks,

Yoram

Has this improvement ever made into development? If not, can someone explain a workaround. I've read the threads on this, but I still have not seen a solution posted.
