Device SDK in .NET

Is there any roadmap for MS.NET language support in the creation of custom device drivers? I am currently utilizing another home automation system and have written a couple device drivers in C++ and found that a very unpleasant experience. Very interested in a switch to meedio but I would have to write some custom devices and prefer C#.
