CM11 dead?

Post by sundodger »

Before i go and buy a new interface let me run this error by the experts. Keep getting Checksum returned from CM11 is not correct return = a5 expected 32.
Sometimes i get expected 67.
Any Thoughts?

The CM11 will keep sending an 'a5' response to the interface if it has detected a power failure. The interface handles this by resetting the clock and responding correctly. You might want to check to make sure your CM11 battery is still good.

Put fresh batteries in to be sure. But get the same error.
Just keeps trying to send X10 command and gives the message over and over.

Maybe try running the software that came with the CM11 to see if it either fixes the problem (somehow) or provides more info on what the problem is.

You could also try running a hardware interface trace to see if that reveals anything additional.

so what did i do. put housebot onto a machine with a serial port. eventually got activehome talking to the interface, housebot also.
tried both through usb to serial converter and no good.
Dont know why the converter worked for a while and then stopped but it did.
Housebot will have to reside on this PC for the time being.
On to the next problem....
