Re: webRemote/Housebot WebServer - January Release

Ahhh... The webserver will not recognize c:\program files\........ etc I believe the HB recommened way is to use %%HB_Themes%%, which I strip out on the server so the browser gets the right path to the image. Since I suspect many folks are using the entire path, I will add in to some processing that...

Re: webRemote/Housebot WebServer - January Release

Thanks Steve. I was wondering what it looked like. I suspect the buttons are getting drawn, but they are behind the pink boxes since I have not done transparencies yet. So not as bad as I thought. Possibly a similar issue on "basic buttons", but they're behind something. I am perplexed tho...

Re: webRemote/Housebot WebServer - January Release

Hi Steve, Thanks for shots... I guess I still have lots of work to do on images. :( The help file is only within Housebot for setting up the device. Likewise the log file errors in HB are only for the webserver. The errors for images or anything to do with the actual webRemote will be the usual Fire...

Re: webRemote/Housebot WebServer - January Release

Jacco, When you rename the file, make sure you rename the .dll part as well. If not, I suspect HB will still try and load the dll if it has the .dll extension. Also, if you can see if the page is generating an error in the Firefox error console, it would be appreciated. Mark, !No_Default! can appear...

Re: webRemote/Housebot WebServer - January Release

Richard, I have reproduced your issue... It seems to have something to do with renaming the dll. Which I did right before I uploaded it. Jacco, you might want to double check you plugins folder as well... It should only have 1 dll called hbwebserver.dll. If there is dll called hbwebserver0116.dll, d...

Re: webRemote/Housebot WebServer - January Release

Richard, Your issues are probably due to IE8. There are no browser checks at all in the code, so mileage at this point will vary against browsers other than Firefox. I'll check out why the default values didn't show up... Strange because I know they're set in the plugin. Jacco, It looks like I have ...

Re: Is Housebot dead ??? Last release April 2009

Resting... I like that. While HB is resting, some amateur coders are pulling their hair out... But it's so worth it!!! I'm enjoying developping the webremote, but it has turned into a beast of it's own, much bigger than I thought. The good news is, no matter what happens with the remote, folks now h...

Re: Openremote

Could be interesting... But as with all things like this/generic, it's easy to get it to talk to HB with a specific protocol such direct tcpip, telnet or http, but the challenge come when you need to make it HB specific. How is openremote going to understand what devices and tasks you have setup in ...

Re: HouseBot Web Server

Hi Art,
I'm not sure on this either... The next release will give more info on what the server is looking for with regards to path and filename.

The theme name *could* be case sensitive... I haven't looked at the code in detail from when I wrote that piece, so I'm not sure. Maybe try it,

Re: HouseBot Web Server

JMan, Can you reproduce in a very simple theme and send me the xml? I suspect it has something to do with the transparencies, but I don't know why the grey boxes would be so big... I would have thought they would be the size of your button or underlying image. + I am assuming that the dependencies a...

Re: SWRemote vs Windows 8

Difficult to say how many users we have.... Aside from the new guy who just posted for the first time while testing the webremote... I think it's probably in the 50-100 range, with a dozen posting.

That being said, the webremote was only downloaded 7 times last time a I checked.

Re: HouseBot Web Server

I'm not sure I have a grasp on the time thing... But I will take your word on it as not being mine. JMan, Any image which can be displayed in your browser should work. Therefore .bmps should be ok. Can you be more specific in what's not displaying. You have an image property that specifies a static ...
