Re: Winamp control: Playing/Stop

http://playerservices.streamtheworld.co ... CMP128.pls

That link looks a little goofy/incomplete. But if you right click and open in a new tab it should launch Winamp. Or you can 'inspect elements' to get the full unadulterated URL.

Winamp control: Playing/Stop

I'm using Winamp for MP3 playback (via the Jukebox device) as well as streaming URLs. I've run into an issue, where the Winamp device/plugin "Status" property (Stopped, Playing, Fast Forwarding, etc) is not actually controlling the Winamp program (agent?). The "play source" prope...

Re: HouseBotServer.exe command line switches?

I still need to do some testing/legwork on this. It APPEARS that, at least here, HB wants/needs to run as Admin. But what I haven’t determined is how to launch HB as admin from Startup. Seems like youre going to get the “Do you want to allow this app...” prompt, which of course you can’t answer from...

Re: HouseBotServer.exe command line switches?

Of course not. This has been the Win7->10 conversion from hell. The point of the run-as-admin question was because I wanted to reboot the server every night and restart HB to clear up issues with RS232 serial ports that, after the new box, new OS, new multi-port COM port cards, had become very unrel...

Re: HouseBotServer.exe command line switches?

Semi related, as I'm still playing with starting HB server upon a Win 10 restart. But even before that, here I found that if I run HB as administrator (either via right click selection or built into the properties using the compatibility check box) the HB server starts right away, after answering th...

HouseBotServer.exe command line switches?

Are there any? I'm playing around with Win10 TaskScheduler with the idea of doing a system restart every night followed by a restart of HouseBotServer.exe. Or maybe just a restart of HBserver. Do I need to kill it and then restart it or just have Taskscheduler start it and will it restart if its alr...

Re: Error/crash when deleting a task

Thanks. I think... edit: I do have an SQLite browser that works well with (Richard's) Songs.mlf file associated with the HB Jukebox "app". However, it will not open HBData.db. "Different" SQLite?? another edit: Never mind. Found a browser that works - opens an older uncorrupted v...

Error/crash when deleting a task

Am getting an error message when attempting to delete a task. Tried it on several now-unused tasks and get the same thing. Pretty sure this is just now cropping up; I have been able to delete prior to this. Attached is a screen shot of the message. If I select retry or Abort, HB server crashes. If I...

HKLM too? Nope. Will do. Thx.
edit: Didnt find anything in HKLM that was Cebotics/HB specific.

Re: Win7 - to - Win10 migration

Update: It doesn't like the property for the SQLite db name. I deleted only that property from the HBK_5 General settings reg sliver, merged it, and HB loads fine. And yet, that HK property resides happily on the production box. :?

Re: Win7 - to - Win10 migration

Just now getting back to this new box setup. Downloaded and installed OEM HB 3.52.04 and exported my current Cebotic... registry keys and merged them in the new box registry. HB delivered a message that indicated that it couldn't read the database. After several retries same result. So I reverted to...

Good to hear, sort of. Glad I'm not the only one. And yes, it is intermittent here too. And annoying.

Alexa and Insteon

Has anyone else run into this? Using Alexa to turn on (and occasionally off) a device (lamp, etc.), "She" will most times here reply with "Sorry the Housebot device <whatever> is not responding. Please check its network connection and power supply." (It says something when I can ...
