Re: Android Client issue
All has been working now for over 4 days. For certain, one of the things I did resolved the issue. I only had one widget installed that I removed, so I find it hard to believe that was the issue. I also removed and reinstalled HB.

Re: Android Client issue
It would happen as soon as 30 minutes after sleeping. Powerful and wise Google told me what an Android widget was. Admittedly, I'm not very Android savvy. Seems to me there have always been a lot of unexplainable problems with it. I often find chicken bones and salt to be good Android troubleshootin...

Android Client issue
The Housebot client (more specifically the android client) stops communicating with the server. Either a restart of the server, or a restart of the client brings the client back into communication. I only just started to notice this behavior for the last couple of releases. This may not be a housebo...

Found it. It is actually an error in my script and not HB.

Re: Property Substitution Issue
Maybe because I'm using it inside a string. It works fine in other places using the same methodology.

Property Substitution Issue
I'm having an issue using property substitution when there is a hyphen in the property name. (i.e., %%UPB-0B.Dim Level%%) Is there any way to get around this without renaming the property -- that would be painful.

Re: Echo/Alexa Capability
I'm clearly missing something. I can't seem to get his to work ask described. See the screenshot. Capture.PNG I can only get Alexa to discover execute task devices. I have created a view called Alexa and added devices other than Execute Task Devices to the view. These are null devices with both Powe...

Echo/Alexa Capability
I'm trying to use the Alexa feature to dim lights. It appears that the feature won't list null devices, only things that are associated with hardware device. I'm using the generic serial device plugin to send UPB commands. The "Dim Level" and "Power State" for each light are main...

Re: Sharing a panel between multiple themes
Sorry to comment on a 5-year old post, but thought it might useful to someone else. I have not found an easy way to do this. I'm sure there might be a better way, but this is what I have done. I have created a null device for each of my remotes. I use this to track property changes that are unique t...

Consistency issue with Remotes
I'm seeing a couple of issues now that I have developed a full functioning android interface. I make use of transparent buttons to have indicators underneath change status when a button is pushed. I just noticed, although this works on Android remote, it does not seem to work the same on the x86 rem...

Housebot on Raspberry Pi on Windows 10 IOT
Scott,
Any plans to run HB on Windows 10 IOT running on a Pi yet? It looks like it might be possible to cross-compile swremote for it. This is coming from someone that really doesn't have a clue about the complexity of this.

Re: Version 3.30.03 and new Android Software Remote
The fonts in the list control are very crammed together. Is there a way to change the height of elements in the list control. I tried making the selection bar image height larger thinking it would increase the margins, but that seemed to have no effect.

Re: Version 3.30.03 and new Android Software Remote
Scott, I have spent a lot of time only to figure out I needed to wait about 5 seconds after closing the remote before reloading it. Steve pointed that out in above, but I failed to actually read what he said. It seems like it takes quite a while to clear the memory, and the behavior is very sporadic...
