Re: PocketPC
Scott,
This should be a call for YOUR help.
In the past, I've reported this issue directly to you.
Since nobody else mentioned it in the forums, it was neglected.
Now that more users report this issue, which is most annoying in my view, maybe you can look at it again.

Re: PocketPC
Is it a multi-state button that does not refresh?
There's just that bug with the multi-state button.
A workaround is to use a push button and an indicator instead.
I also noticed that this happens more frequently when using a low power cpu.

OT: Different iPad apps vs. HB
There are a few iPad smarthome apps today. They look nice, and the programming seems quick and easy. For those who experienced with iPad smarthome apps like Iridium, iDomintell, MyHome etc.: What do you think are the main advantages of using HB rather than these apps? Is it the high level of customi...

Re: Error ::RegisterTaskWithProperty() ???
I believe that the task is trying to access a property that doesn't exist anymore. To fix it: - Exit from HB. use the task manager to verify the housebotserver.exe is not running. - Backup the database (config\hbdata.mdb) before you do anything else!!! - Make sure that you have msaccess or the free ...

Re: Get Hardware Interface name
it seems you would already know your own name When trying to get the value of the 'Name' property in the hardware interface, I got nothing. I created a new property in the hardware interface, retrieved it using a query in the device plugin as you suggested, and that solvbed my problem. Thank you, Y...

Get Hardware Interface name
Is it possible to get the Hardware Interface name?
I need to get the name (or at least its id reference number) both in the Hardware Interface and in the Device interface.
Thanks,
Yoram

Re: TIMERS
I have no problem in using Housebot with a timer. But how. Use HB's Sleep Timer device. set the time to 1 minute and 30 seconds. Build an automatic task (mark the 'when conditions are met' field) that will fill your condition like this: If ('input1.property' is euqal 'On') Then Change 'YourDevice.Y...

Re: Housebot Crash
The dump file doesn't help much.
Did you try to mark out some lines and see what happens?
I'm not sure about it, but the SetPropertyValue lines that use the 'Now' look suspicious.

Re: Generic serial device
Maybe you didn't include it during HB installation.
I suggest to re-install HB, and make sure that the generic serial device is checked.

Re: NETWORK CONNECTION HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Dom, To connect SWRemote to the HB server, They both need to be on some network (local or internet). Wireless router is not a must. Where is the HB server installed? Which computer is running the SWRemote (is it another computer in the SAME home network)? If they are both on the same network, can...

Re: NETWORK CONNECTION HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can connect the client software SWRemote to the HB server in several ways. If they are both installed on the same PC, run the 'Local Software Remote'. The client will use IP address 127.0.0.1 to connect to the server. Make sure that the software remote name is exactly as typed in the server, inc...

Re: ASSEMBLING HOUSEBOT COMPATIBLE HARDWARE
Hi Dom, You are right. These controllers will not work in North America. To answer your original question, I repeat the point: Although computers can be very reliable, it's not a good idea to totally rely on one for your home. At some point, it will fail. I guess you control all the automated applia...
