Re: UI scrolling menu - any tips?

Did you take a look at the Configuration Panel option "Enable Control Focus Management". Maybe that could be a solution to your request.
Furthermore an Alphalist should be able to do what you want it to do but it requires some vbscript programming.

Re: Pissed as h*ll

Plus 1 with Tony. Sure a rant now and than is OK, but rant on POST 1 is something I have never seen before. Probably a refund would be best for you! This forum, while not very active, contains some people that are always willing and able to help and as far as I know have come up with a 100% solution...

Re: HouseBot and Amazon Echo

It seems you got everythng right. It's just difficult to guess what it could be hence my basic questions.
Scott is probably right. Always is :D
I would start with just one simple device and if that works, try expanding again. Unless you already tried that as well

Re: HouseBot and Amazon Echo

What do you do to Discover your devices? You tell the Echo to discover and/or press the discover button from the smarthome skill?

Re: Default Context text

OK that might be true. I run only only remote and use a video matrix to get the same remote everywhere else in the house. When using a remote device I use VNC.
So never made a difference between calling or all remotes. Too bad

my.housebot.com not responding

Alexa didn't respond so I checked my.housebot.com. I am connected however I don't see any devices with the error being:
"A response was not received from HouseBot"

Anybody else?

Re: HouseBot and Amazon Echo

Just changed it to "Computer" and I like it already much better. It is the same keyword I use with the standard Windows Voice Recognition in HouseBot controlling my Theater. Now I just need to rename my Skill trigger word. Could rename it to "Alexa" 8)

Re: HouseBot and Amazon Echo

:D So that would make me call me own skill something like this: Computer, ask computer to tell me the outside temperature. Still like the Echo so far. My own skill works very good I must say. Hopefully it will evolve over time and we would see features like ID numbers per Echo where a standard Amazo...

Re: HouseBot and Amazon Echo

Scott, any clue as to why I cn use a device called "Office Heater" but cannot use a Device called "Office Temperature"? The words are all understood by Alexa but the reply is that she can't find "office" in the group or device list. Is there something special about the ...
