I like the VB Script idea. Haven't done VB/HB before, but I think it is within the range of my abilities. I might run into this again since my serial device uses hex for just about everything. I did think about creating 15 commands in my serial device and mapping them to property values. Either way ...

Good call. I never set up a trace before and it worked great. It looks like my problem is that my property value sends [0-15] decimal to the serial device. How would I send an ASCII command that represents a two digit HEX value [00-0F] embedded in my command? I'm using a slider control with a range ...

Send ASCII to Serial Device
I need to send the string ,?0800%1% as an ASCII using the Serial Plugin. It looks to me as though the device doesn't like the ASCII "?". I can send it as HEX if translate the ASCII to Hex, buI don't know how to send a 2 byte variable (i.e., "03") using %x% when sending as Hex. An...

Problem solved
It appears I have solved this problem by upgrading my PPC to Windows Mobile 5 on my Dell Axim. I haven't had a time to thoroughly test this, but I'm not seeing any of the previous issues.

I would have to look at that again, but the amount of memory seems to dance around a bit depending on how many graphics and how many objects/elements are on the panel. The number of panels it will load moves around a bit. I spent a lot of time playing around with trying to figure out what was actual...

Status
Is there any update on the status of this problem? I can still only run about 10 panels on a given remote on a Dell Axim x50v. Although I have yet to receive a definitive response that this is more-or-less a bug, or hard memory limitation, with the current version of the swremote, I have determined ...

I've have worked probably 20 more hours on trying to figure this out. No luck. I've tried everything from converting all of my graphics to .jpg's, a rearranging everything on the panels. I've started from scratch rebuilding all panels at least 3 times. I've pretty much concluded that my Dell Axim X5...

Please view the following as constructive critcism... I have both products, and I can say I spend most of the time using HB because it has incredible utility. It is truly a phoenoninal product. It's probably a little hard for average person (as opposed to us geeks) to actually grasp how good it real...

This has been extremely difficult to find any real decisive cause and effect solution. If I copy this panel to it's own theme, it works fine. I can start adding all of the panels to the new theme, and at some point (around 11 panels) it fails. Never in the exact same spot, and the memory settings sh...

I'm on the right track here. The total size for \Program Files\SWRemote\Config\Themes is only 2.1 MB. I would hardly think such a small amount would hang the program, so I'm pretty sure the problem is not with the graphic file sizes or formats. I would be more apt to think it is a problem with the ....

Are you saying that I should be using .png format? I really don't think it is a background image issue. Converting to .jpg made very little difference. I tried downloading a utility called memmaid for memory optimization on the PPC, but it only allows dlls to be moved to an external memory card. The...

swremote problem
I have designed a remote for use with my Dell Axim x50v. The problem I'm having is that swremote (ARM) will not complete loading once I add an 11th panel. I think it is a memory problem. If I delete the 11th Panel and rebuild it, it will work to a point and then it will stop loading once I get a cer...

RE: Flexible 'repeat' of IR commands
Has this improvement ever made into development? If not, can someone explain a workaround. I've read the threads on this, but I still have not seen a solution posted.

delay using variable
I know this is an easy question, but I can't figure it out. How do I delay using a value stored in a null device.property value?

Homevision
Is anyone using Housebot with a Homevision controller? Or is there a plugin for the Homevision out there somewhere?
