Has anyone tried to integrate an intercom with HB?

I find it useful to have a property with hidden values.
It is especially useful for controlling security systems.
Such property type should not have a 'history' log.

This is not at the top of my wish list. Yet it's a nice add-on.

it only detects the caller ID information some of the time I suffer from the same issue. I did a lot of research and got to almost nothing (: I tried 4 modem types (including Apache) on different computers. None was good enough. I have two phone lines. Every now and then I find myself wishing to have certain controls that HB misses.
It would be great if I could define my own theme controls.

When you get to the 'split', please consider building an SDK for theme controls.

It's very simple:
Run the HBServer first, and then run the local software remote.

I'm using TControl. Its an Israeli Company with great products. Currently they have only 220V units.

I don't use X10, so I'm only guessing here. The error message looks like a communication error. You may want to check if: - Is it possible to decrese the communication speed? Some devices allow to set the coomunication speed. - When does the problem occur? Do you activate some devices when it happen...

Some converters cause problems.
If you have a 'normal' serial port on this computer, I suggest that you try it and see what happens.
You may also want to try to add a *powered* USB hub. This may solve power problems caused by USB devices.

This is just a wild guess: Are you using a USB->RS232 converter?

Scott, Leave the split to version 4. I personally prefer to see other enhancements first. Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. I suppose that you already spent a great amount of time on the splitting issue, and still you are willing to take a step back and to think it over! Thank you! Yoram

One way to do it is to:

- Use VBScript with GetPropertyValue for formatting
- Use VBScript with SetPropertyValue to set the property of a generic serial device with the fomatted message.

You may also try the following:
- Open every panel with SWRemote
- Look at HB's error log file.

If a device or a property does not exist, it should show there.

If that doesn't help, you may also try all the task buttons and look again at the error log.
