Recurring events er... tasks and launching programs

I'd like to have a task run every 5 minutes on the 5's and 0's of the minutes of the hour (mod 5). In using the Sleep Timer, I find that the stopping, triggering the task, and restarting the timer takes a second or two, or sometimes more, and things slowly creep out of sync. At present, the only way...

Well, I'm glad I'm reading it right, and the explaination makes perfect sense, Scott. Especially when you consider the wrapping of the media center-style software. I personally settled on Winamp, Shoutcast/Icecast, and Slim Server a long time ago, mostly as a low-cost way to stream my own content on...

Ok, let's go OT for a bit... I'm still learning HB, as time permits. I think it is going well. I have it controlling my necessary lighting changes, and now CID is working so I will probably hook that into a voice (TTS) announcement or graphic pop-up on recognition, or something. Scott has been very ...

I think I found the issue. It is my expectations that are the problem. I expected Winamp to play whatever was in its internal playlist when I hit Play in HB or from an HB remote. What I'm finding is the Internal playlist in HB is NOT the internal playlist within Winamp, so Play doesn't work unless I...

Thanks roussell, I do have a lot of experience with modems and networking and such. I had already confirmed the modem was sending CID data without problems, HB just wasn't picking it up. I swapped modems with another old USR Courier and it is working now. I have no idea what the issue was - I even c...

That would help here. I tried using an older USR Courier with CID, but for some reason HB wouldn't show the name or number. The info is being sent properly. I do get the number of rings and date/time changing. Does the CID detail have to match an entry in the hardware interface caller ID configurati...

I loaded Winamp fresh (never was on this machine before) and the plugin came with HB, and even after a reboot, I'm still not able to start Winamp playing from the property change or even using the sample remote or one I made for testing. Once I hit Play in the Winamp window, I can control it with HB...

Winamp 5, can't start Playing from Stopped

I loaded Winamp 5.24 tonight and installed the Winamp device. I see that the various states are represented, but I can't start Winamp playing from the device. If I start Winamp playing using the Winamp controls, it works fine, then changes from the device work, until I STOP it. Then I can't start Wi...

PS> At first glance, I thought I could create an X10 Transmit device and have that initate an X10 transmit on the Ocelot when triggered from the MR26A. But no... maybe that's what we need - a "retrigger" device.

No, that makes sense, Scott. It removes the direct reaction and creates a hysteresis or a one-time trigger. Initally Homeseer had the same problem but they resolved it within the interfaces. Any idea if this "proper" capability will be integrated into one or the other device (or HB itself)...

Right, Scott, it appears to be just the X10 Control continually looping. Which is exactly what I thought it would do given the circumstances and the way the MR26A info was written. Ok, let me start over. I have a device called "LR Lamps" which is tied to the Ocelot device for X10. "LR...

Ok, here's the trace log. I enabled logging on both the Ocelot and the MR26A to see the interaction. I have my X10 Control device set up and enabled, but I clicked off the "Allow Same Value Changes" on the X10 Control.Composite Properties. This prevents the pass-thru and I get no reaction,...
