I think that the above are a logical step forward for housebot making headway into the home. Vista MCE is great for allowing automation control via onscreen actions Sidebar could show device properties like termostat readings etc Sideshow would do the same only on a portable bluetooth display allowi...

Housebot & Vista

Has anyone installed housebot on vista yet? I have just installed vista and am thinking about giving it a go. I love the sideshow part of vista. Can see a HUGE potential for housebot control with it. Anyone had a play with it yet?

Hey Richard I remember seeing a little program that links the WAVE volume to the master volume control somewhere on the HTPC community. I will try find it now and post the link for you. Will save u having to write a script.

Anyone have any joy on getting this working properly? I find that the script tries to open multiple telnet windows after multiple button presses on commands and therefore stops working

Just curious as to why u would have to use the extended desktop feature when the screens are going to log in as seperate accounts? I've come across a product that allows this feature using both hardware in the server and thin client screens. From what I know windows xp can run 10 simultaneous accoun...

I understand. Having the same remote duplicated but with different names removes the conflict from using the same ip. Cool. I imagine this can get intensive on the system if using lots of fancy graphics etc. Do you have any personal experience yourself on the issue Yaccri
